For me, energy healing and emotional healing are interchangeable. We are made-up of energy, our thoughts and feelings carry positive and negative energy. Therefore, when we experience a life event, how we respond impacts our mind, body, and energetic body.
Think of our energy body similar to our physical body. It has roads and pathways that interconnect. It can also develop issues like a clogged artery, a blocked pathway, or an overactive bladder. Meridians are energy highways that run throughout our body. These lines correspond to our organs and our emotions. We can tap on our meridians using acupressure to help release or process our emotions.
EFT is a type of energy healing that helps us target our thoughts, feelings, physical body and energetic body. It allows us to heal on a deeper level. This type of energetic healing is called energy psychology and is a guided form of self-healing.
When we experience a traumatic event, those negative emotions or thoughts can get stuck in our body. Our body has a memory similar to an old injury flaring up. Our body has messages it tells us if we listen closely. Energy healing allows us to tap into these invisible wounds to help release or move us out of stuck patterns.
But in order for us to be able to do this, to find movement and release through energetic healing I have found that it is most successful when we are also in tune with our feelings and the meaning behind our thoughts. Withholding your truth and insight can keep you blocked regardless of the healing method you choose. You are wiser than you might realize and so is your body. Energy healing is not a fake it till you make it tool. Energy healing and emotional freedom are about being honest with yourself and your feelings in order to heal. Having insight and understanding of your thought patterns is crucial.
This is why energy healing and emotional healing are so closely tied for me. The more in tune you are with your underlying emotions during energy healing, the more you are able to release stuck energy or patterns.
Like any mental health tool, energy psychology or energy healing requires maintenance and continued use. We are emotional beings and the energy we expend in life needs to be tended to with love and care. As you begin to shift the way you treat yourself, the positive energy that you expend towards yourself, you might find that you are able to replenish and recharge in ways you hadn’t been able to in the past.
